New feature soon in Krita: Lambert Shading.🔆

It's a blending mode made by Despair for better shading using a single layer. I gave feedback to adjust the blending mode during its development. The blending mode is really versatile as you'll see in this quick demo I painted:

#introduction This is the freshly-made Fediverse account for the Kasts podcast player.

Kasts is part of KDE Plasma Mobile but works equally well on desktop. It has a play queue and sleep timer, and supports sleep suspend, saving play positions and syncing them using the GPodder API (e.g. with AntennaPod).

It's available through distro packages or FlatHub.

In short, I can do Chinese--English / English--Chinese translations. And I'm pretty good at it.

I used to translate for the New York Times. After getting my PhD in physics, I worked for the publisher SpringerNature as an editor, but my experience there only further radicalised me against the unethical practice of "academic publishing", and I quitted.

My career in science also saw me accumulating 15+ years' experience with C/C++/Python, contributing to projects such as scipy, numpy, etc. That made me a decent tech writer of documentations, too.
