Just discovered @penpot thanks to @aral ...

Looks interesting but I hear you must have a #google account ?

@hyde @penpot Nope, you can sign up with your email address but, sadly, login with surveillance capitalist Google is also an option.

@aral @penpot
And, when installed locally do you need to login too ?

@hyde @aral Hi! The email (of any kind) will be asked only in order to enjoy Penpot on the cloud. Private instances just require basic Docker knowledge. You can run your own Penpot server following these instructions:

@penpot @hyde @aral is there any chance that will be available for at some point? It's simpler yet than docker;) yunohost.org/en/packaging_apps

@lps @penpot @hyde @aral I'd say yes to that question. Any medium that enables custom private Penpot instances easily is something we look forward to. Having said that, I'd suggest that we first need to exit beta stage before we devote resources to being at various different sysadmin friendly deployment services or technologies. Not because Beta means "unstable" at all for us, it doesn't, it's a matter of feature-completeness, but because it will probably put a lot of people off at first sight.

That's fantastic to hear, and yes that makes a lot of sense.
