Why #peertube is the solution:)
Just watching a video from Sam Tripoli (tinfoil hat podcast) which uses peertube as the hosting platform for the main website on the advice of a clever community member:)
I don't even think the site owners are even aware they're on the fediverse, and probably don't care.
Just like Wordpress, people use it, and it works. They have a platform that they control and thanks to tech it distributes the load and saves them money.
Of course these numbers don't touch anything that happens on YT, however it shows the potential of mass adoption as a tool for creators without a "platform"
Also remember #peertube views are notoriously inaccurate, as are YTs I'm convinced of it.
